Sometimes life and running your own business can get overwhelming and one needs to take a break, slow down, take a step back, review business priorities !

 Is saying YES to every business opportunity a good thing ? In my opinion >>> NO



Let me explain ...you need to slow down or even stop and ask yourself the following questions:
  • what purpose does this opportunity serve me and my business ? 
  • Will another opportunity come at the expense of this one?
  • Will this help any of my business goals? 
  • Could I be spending this same time & energy doing something more productive for my business ?
  • think carefully about the time involved : in addition to the commitment itself, is there planning or prep work to do? What’s the travel time? Will there be follow-up?
  • Is this business opportunity going to benefit me on the long term or drain me ? Would it be best if I delegated this business opportunity or even forward a business colleague whom might benefit from it more than myself ?
  • mastered the art of saying no: It might be uncomfortable at first, I completely understand that, but it is vital to your productivity.


Remember that being undecided will drain you and your business ! - as it will constantly be at the back of your mind. Therefore PAUSE and make a decision. No one can stop time, but everyone should try to make best use of it.

Sweet or bitter taste

In the Fitpro business environment - as in many other industries - you have to position yourself and your business when it comes to prices -we all know that -and if you have not yet ...now better then never  :) This is not to say that you should be rigid & inflexible about it. Ask yourself this question: Do you want to leave a bitter taste in your customers' and business colleagues' / suppliers' mouth? or would rather leave them with a sweet taste and have them come back ask for more ? Sometimes, I believe one has to learn to be flexible when it comes to prices / deals. We are not saying to go beyond what you can afford to give but reducing beyond your profit but we are talking about allowing space for a happy compromise.
